Ricoh Theta - Capture Setup
Recommended capture settings and file requirements for Ricoh Theta cameras used for 360° photogrammetry in Prevu3D.
Supported Cameras
Section titled “Supported Cameras”The following Ricoh Theta models are supported:

Camera Setup
Section titled “Camera Setup”Before starting capture:

Update the camera firmware to the latest version

Clean both lenses using a microfiber cloth

Ensure sufficient battery and storage space
Recommended Recording Settings
Section titled “Recommended Recording Settings”Use Video mode and H.264 encoding, with the settings for your model:

File Requirements
Section titled “File Requirements”Prevu3D requires original camera files (.mp4) recorded with a supported Ricoh Theta camera.
Upload one .mp4 file containing the required IMU metadata.
Upload Constraints
Section titled “Upload Constraints”Video Duration Limits
Section titled “Video Duration Limits”-
Minimum: 15 seconds (at least 30 frames)

Maximum: 30 minutes (1800 seconds)
For large environments, capture multiple recordings.
